Company.
Corcon was established on January 8, 1976 by Lou, Gus, and their Father, George Lyras. Four years later, Tom Psaras, their brother-in-law, joined the firm after graduating as an engineer and working four years as a nuclear test engineer. A year after, Lauri Kauffman joined as the office manager. George retired in 1987, but stayed on as a valued advisor, and that same year, Steve, the youngest brother, completed the partnership. Together they built Corcon's highly respected reputation. Through the years they steered Corcon into becoming a leading contractor in many different types of industrial painting, and now a leader in lead removal on bridges.

Growth is the key word to describe the many early years of successful business. From the first years sales of under fifty thousand to a multi-million dollar sales in recent years. Now, through the difficult times of government regulations with painting companies changing names and going bankrupt, Corcon led the industry in the early years of lead removal of bridges. Exclusive United States Patents in containment devices and recycling machines developed by Corcon are vital to the industry. Published articles and speeches are referenced constantly. Corcon has changed with the times and is here to stay.
